The Little Tin Man is a piece with which Coderch&Malavia Sculptors, as in The Wizard of Oz, try to represent the archetype of the emotional body of the human being.

The emotional body is all those capacities that we have to feel, love, value, enjoy... unlike the mental body, colder and of a dual nature, the emotional body is involved, mixes and "burns" together with what is related.

What happens when the emotional body is not applied correctly, or has simply been left out?

We find ourselves with a rusty emotionality, rigidity in terms of accepting our own and others' feelings and ideas, frustrations, inability to vibrate, feel excited and want.

That carelessness for feelings and for valuing ourselves can turn us into someone rigid, rusty and without the ability to feel.

In our environment we often find people of this type, excessively given to achievements and little open to the sentimental, to emotions, to contemplation and to life in the present. In many of us there is, even without realizing it, that tendency.

The coldness of metal is another allegory, using tinplate as an archetypal image of something with little flexibility, low temperature, low vibration, not very adaptable, although very resistant. Someone who is emotionally closed responds to these adjectives: not very flexible, cold, not very adaptable, and resistant to what happens to him, almost immutable.

They are people who focus desperately on other aspects of life so that achievements and merits cover their fear of loving again or expressing themselves from the heart.

In the end, recovering emotional capacity means that transit or journey inward, as an exercise of will and courage, wanting to recover the capacity to get emotional and feel. A transit of re-discovery of emotions, of re-learning to value ourselves, to love ourselves beyond what we want to achieve, beyond merits and abilities and to achieve a correct expression of emotions.
