"Giant of Salt is a sculpture, based on the Japanese dance Butoh, that delves and aspires to represent the experiences of the contemporary people and the mystery in which they are immersed after a time of crisis. Through the slow and hellenic gestures of Giant of Salt, Coderch & Malavia show with an incisive lucidity the complexity of human being and the forces of nature.

They try, through art, to provoke the viewer to question himself about universal problems and seek new answers.

The purpose is to delve into the changes that are generated after the great "crisis", moments in which a very strong conscience of humanity arises. In this case, the artists express, through the twisted body of the Giant of Salt, the essence of life: falling and reviving, seeking communion between opposites and above all, trying to learn from past mistakes.

The Giant of Salt is a unique and poetic figurative piece of almost four meters made in bronze, a favorite material of sculptors for its great durability and quality."
