Dès son plus jeune âge, l’artiste visuel Yann Normand a été exposé au milieu des arts. Fils d’un père designer d’intérieur et d’une mère qui s’adonnait à la peinture et au dessin, il a grandi en étant entouré de crayons, de pastels et de peinture à l’huile, mais aussi d’échantillons de tapis et de céramique.
Celle du Québécois Yann Normand, aux deux grandes plumes élégantes, semble au bord de l’envol. Il a soudé une à une les barbes de ses plumes au tuyau central.
