Eva Hild is a Swedish sculptor renowned for her fluid, organic forms that gently blur the boundary between interior and exterior space. Working primarily in clay, she hand-builds hollow sculptural bodies that feel both weightless and grounded, poised between movement and stillness.

Through subtle curves and continuous surfaces, Hild’s works encourage a slow, attentive way of looking. Light travels across their forms, revealing quiet shifts in tension and balance, while negative space becomes as present as the material itself. Her sculptures offer a contemplative encounter, where form, space, and sensation are held in delicate equilibrium.

“My sculptures are bodies, exposed to pressure and movements. Influence, pressure, strain. These words have been the foundation for my current projects that comprise communicating the theme in large, thin‑built sculptures. Delicate continuously flowing entities… They reflect varying degrees of external and internal pressures, and how, as a consequence, perception of inner and outer space is changed or challenged.”
