Galerie LeRoyer presents a group show entitled Monochrome.
The exhibition unveils a selection of new works by Ole Aakjær, Ali Alişir, Yulia Bas, Maya Kulenovic, Yann Normand, Martin Rondeau, Marie-Josée Roy, Francisco Valverde and Ognian Zekoff, while also presenting new talents to discover, such as Peruvian artist Abel Bentin, Spanish sculptors Coderch & Malavia, and Italian painter Silvio Porzionato.
Monochrome is a reference to the exhibition's colour palette, or lack thereof. A symbol of neutrality, elegance and melancholy, from light to dark, the use of gray in all its shades is explored by the artists through a variety of disciplines and media; from concrete to oil paint, woven photography, woven steel, bronze, LED, resin, feathers, rust and marble dust. The unique use of grays produces a fascinating visual experience that invites contemplation of all its nuances and textures.
